Board a jet boat for an exhilarating ride up Hells Canyon — the deepest canyon in North America. And ponder the puzzling presence of Rodin art and an American Stonehenge at the remote Maryhill Museum. Along the way, you’ll transit 8 monumental locks and dams, changing your elevation by nearly 738 feet — the height of a big-city skyscraper.
Along with history and scenic beauty, something else magical happens here at 46ºN latitude. This is the same latitude as some of the great French wine regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy, and the arid climate and long daylight hours have created a growing region known for its rich culinary and wine culture.
